Rudolf Steiner, the founder of Anthroposophy initiated Curative Education in the year 1924 & it was further developed by Dr Karl Konig who started the Camphill movement. It is an individualistic and holistic approach to teach children with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Curative Education takes a very holistic approach towards each child. The teacher through her curative work brings the body, soul and spirit together which is imbalanced. Developing good socialization, awareness of self, aiming to reach the full potential are the key goals of curative education.
